Well, looks like The Duncombe Arms is nearly there.
The front door has finally been painted and has a smart new brass door knocker. Going by their FB page the kitchen seems to have been finished. The interior painting appears to have been completed. The furniture has arrived and whilst not to my taste, and this is, of course, a matter of personal preference, at least it is new and good quality and looks comfortable. The slate floor in the bar area has been sealed and a large coffee machine is now occupying a chunk of the bar at the restaurant end. Not conducive to a good drinking atmosphere at that end of the bar but a guarantee of good coffee…….
Any takers for an opening on Saturday, July 15th?
