What is happening in Manor Farm Road, I hear you ask! Just on the left as you come into Manor Farm Road from the village there are lorries and diggers, mud, gravel, hardcore and a dismantled fence.
Well, the answer is simple…..the good folk who own the Grange have purchased the lake which was part of the garden of Water End House (née The Red House). They have set about dredging it, thinning out the planting and clearing out some of the shrubbery as well as incorporating it into the existing Waresley Grange garden. They are also going to use the new opening as the new entrance to the house and have built a drive alongside the lake to link in with the existing drive up to the house. This means that everyone will have a view of the renovated lake when driving or walking down Manor Farm Road. Well done all – and many thanks from the village for opening up this stunning vista.
