Brexit – did I vote the right way, or was I wrong?

Late last year I began to think again about how I voted in the EU Referendum in June 2016. Was I wrong to vote the way I did? Should I have taken a longer view of the implications of leaving or staying? Should I have voted for the next generation, rather than thinking of my own? Had I made incorrect assumptions regarding the power of the British economy? All these thoughts led me to re-visit the issue and re-think the whole matter. That has resulted in this series of posts under the general heading of “Was I Wrong?”.

There will be five posts, with each covering a different aspect of the discussion. The first two cover the UK population and then the culture as it seems today, then one on the future inside the EU and one on being outside. The last post asks the question, ”Was I Wrong?” and hopefully provides some answers. I have tried to keep each post to around 1000 words, so it is not a long read. I will post one a week for the next five weeks. I hope you find the read stimulating and enjoyable.

This is clearly just my view, if it makes you think, that’s great but if not, well that’s OK too……but remember, this is not intended to insult anyone or any particular group, region or religion. It is simply some thoughts on what is the greatest decision of our time, and one which we have to get right.
